Converse Skateboarding catches up with Sid Abruzzi

I shot some photos a while back of local New England skate/surf legend Sid Abruzzi. We had quite the little session down in the Pit. A memorable experience for sure. Converse Skate recently contacted me about getting some of the photos for their magazine they were putting out. Below are some images of the final product.  Really nice design, and the print quality and paper are top notch.  Thanks Kevin.

The Ikea Maze…I mean Daze

A few too many hours inside Ikea can lead to complete delirium.  You can literally get lost on the “showroom floor”. Looking back, the whole experience resembles a time warp of color and light.

Note to self – ” Bring measurments and a list next time.”

Spring Tease

Looks like we may have sprung ahead to0 soon here in Maine.  With the changing of the clocks came temperatures in the low 60’s this weekend. People on the beach and summer-like SW wind waves all weekend. No complaints here. Even some of our plants were sprouting with excitement.

This morning we woke up to 6+ inches on the ground and blustery conditions. Back to winter as we know it.

Swimming with Death+Taxes…the magazine

The new issue of Death+Taxes is out on shelves. Inside you’ll find a photo essay about a USCG mock rescue mission I shot for them. Former USCG Crew Chief Jim McGinley gives some insight into the daily routine of these bad-ass rescue swimmers. I can tell you first-hand it’s more extreme than anything I’ll ever do. Click the photo below to check out the online mag. The story begins on pg 115.
