First Friday Art Walk – Corduroy Surf shop

If your in the area and looking for something to do on Aug 1st, look no further.  I’ll be having a show at Corduroy Surf Shop in Portland Maine. This will be part of the First Friday Art Walk all around Portland. Look forward to seeing some people there.

Not So Big Bertha

It feels like we’ve been waiting weeks for the swell to show up. Everyone seems to get antsy with signs of the first hurricane. So far Hurricane Bertha has been far from epic on the southern Maine shores. Fun waves none the less, and it looks to be that way for the week ahead.  Here are a few pics from the past couple days.

Nick LaVecchia and the skishermen

I posted some outtakes a couple of weeks ago from a shoot i did in Montauk NY.  I was covering the new sport of skishing for Vox Magazine out of the Hamptons.  Below is a pdf link of the story. The new issue will be in stores and on stands soon.

Get In The Van II Alaska Trip Gets Some Press

It’s been just over two months since I returned home with the crew from Joe Carter’s Get in the Van II. What happened on that trip will never be fully covered in any print or online form. Too many images and words to tell. Below are a couple of the first pieces of press this trip has been given.  The first luckily being a cover and 11 page story in the UK surf magazine Drift. The second is a full page photo in the August issue of National Geogrpahic Adventure. Check them out online or on at your closest magazine shop.
